Biodance Bio-Collagen Real Deep Mask
Bought this in Korea on the most recent trip. On the top ten list of Olive Young’s bestsellers so I couldn’t wait to try. There were only two boxes left so I grabbed them.
It is described as a hydrogel mask made of highly concentrated serum, and is meant to provide deep hydration as well as firming. It is recommended to be used as an overnight mask for best results.
The first time I used it I was struck by how different the texture was to other masks I’ve used. It’s heavier and more adhering, and interestingly, it starts as an opaque white mask and slowly becomes transparent as the ingredients are absorbed by the skin. I have to say I am quite impressed, having woken and feeling that the skin is moisturised and firmer. Love it.
Glad to report that Biodance has an official shop on Shoppee so don’t need to fly to Korea to buy.

MEIJI Amino Collagen Premium
A conversation with a colleague reminded me that, external products, while important, may not be enough to combat the signs of ageing. It’s critical to take care from the inside out too!
So I decided to start taking collagen after realising that collagen not only supports skin health, it could also be beneficial for joint and bone health.
I am now on Meiji’s Amino Collagen powder, the premium version. I chose it as Meiji is a trusted brand and the products are made in Japan. It’s made from marine sources, and the premium version contains additional ingredients like ceramide and hyaluronic acid.
Personally, I take it with my breakfast, either by adding a scoop in my coffee, or stirring it into my granola mix, but you can take it at any time of the day with any food or drink. It really is tasteless and odourless as the ads claim so it’s quite easy to consume.
The product is easily available in major pharmacy outlets. For more information on the benefits of collagen and what to look out for when buying, check out my blog here.

Exercises
Knee Friendly YouTube workouts by Lucy Wyndham-Read
Besides walking and swimming on weekends, I try to do exercises at home on WFH days or when time permits. Key for me are videos that are easy to follow as I have zero coordination abilities, and that they are low-impact as I have bad knees.
Wyndham-Read’s channel was first introduced to me by a friend during COVID and I have followed her since. I like that her videos are unpretentious, and unlike those crazy positive, super stoked trainers. Her moves are simple, doesn’t require fancy equipment, and can be easily done in a small space- so no excuses! She quietly talks you through her exercises and tells you why certain moves help what.
She has quite a huge library of videos of varying lengths and different target areas, so pick and choose what you like, but here are some of the sets I like for starters:
– 15 min knee-friendly cardio, no jumping full body
– 7 min belly fat workout
– 20 min walking exercises, walk at home
